PLEASE COPY THE TEACHTEXT PROGRAM TO YOUR HARD DRIVE (REQUIRED TO READ DEMO INTRO)
To use this demo you will need to decompress the files using the UnstuffIt program contained on this disk. You will also need MacWrite 5.01 or a word processor that will open a MacWrite file. A hard drive is strongly recommended.
To decompress files on a Hard Drive:
You will need approximately 1.5 Meg of free space on your hard drive. Double click on the UNSTUFFIT icon and once the program comes up select "Open Archive" from the File pull down menu. Open the "SNAP! 3.1 Demo" file and then choose "Select All" from the EDIT pull down menu (this should highlight all of the files in the window). Click on the "EXTRACT" icon at the bottom of the window. When the SAVE dialogue window appears make sure that you have your hard drive selected as the volume to save on! Click on "SAVE ALL" and the program will decompress all of the files and put them on your hard drive. Quit the UnstuffIt program and read the instructions contained in the demo!
To decompress files using floppy disks (800K only):
You will need 2 floppy disks (800K) to hold all of the files contained in the demo. Double click on the UNSTUFFIT icon and once the program comes up select "Open Archive" from the File pull down menu. Open the "SNAP! 3.1 Demo" file and then select the files individually by clicking in the window (You can select multiple files by holding the Shift key down while clicking on another file). Note that the file sizes are indicated to the right of the file name. Select the files you want for the first disk and then click on the "EXTRACT" icon at the bottom of the window. When the SAVE dialogue window appears make sure that you either insert your disk or have the correct drive indicated to save on. Click on the "SAVE ALL" button and the program will decompress the files and place them on your floppy. Repeat the process for the remaining files using a second floppy. If you are going to run the demo with floppies you will need a system disk and another disk containing the SNAP! demo program and the SNAP! demo files. If you are using a single drive this is going to require a lot of disk swapping!
